Mossy Pond Retrievers was established in 2003 by Georgia native, Brad Arington, with just one dog and a dream. Brad purchased his first chocolate Labrador retriever, Bo, as a hunting companion. He began the process of training Bo to be an obedient gun dog. After visiting several local dove shoots and duck hunts, people began to notice and request Brad’s expertise.

In 2005, Brad and his wife, Ellen, constructed Mossy Pond Lodge. Mossy Pond continues to expand with more hunts, kennels, activities, and lodging. We are a family-owned and operated business and strive to make our lodge feel like home and ensure our clients are treated like family. We recognize how impactful spending time outdoors with your loved ones is. That’s why we keep family at the root of everything we do.

Mossy Pond is one of the most beautiful hunting facilities in the world. Located in Patterson, GA, our property is conveniently located near major airports in Jacksonville and Savannah. Waycross-Ware County Airport is within a short 30-minute drive of the property. 

Our diverse property in South Georgia allows you to enjoy Plantation Style Quail Hunts, Texas Style Hog Hunts, South Dakota Pheasant Field Hunts, and Arkansas Flooded Timber Style Duck Hunts, all within a 24 hour period.
